Incidentally, in that post above with the settlement prices... the column says "RRP" but it is the wholesale price paid to the generators. They're also in dollars per megawatt hour. To get cents per kilowatt hour, the same unit as on your electricity bill, divide by 10. So the peak price from 6:30am to 7:00 was 13.587 c/kWh.
The highest price in December was 18.485 c/kWh for 30 minutes. Only 3 hours in December paid better than 10c/kWh.
