I admire your optimistic nature Sediaws! You are correct in your observation, but consider the last sentence in your post made by researchers of ICSID awards:
"Removing the Yukos and Conoco cases reduces the average award to $88.8 million and the median award to $16.5 million"
Anyway, you and I can only speculate given we are not privy to the written advice that the AVZ board would have received in the form of a legal opinion on the merits before pursuing the ICSID claim. Legal opinions also include an analysis on potential damages by quantum experts, which suggests the AVZ board is fully informed and has made a sound decision pursuing the ICSID claim on behalf of AVZ shareholders, right?
