fengshoey
It is extremely hard to offend me. Also a well aimed, witty insult is one of life's little pleasures.
The personnel involved with SOC seem competent to me. They have spent many years chasing down things like this and they have an air of excitement about them regards Mt Adrah, True enough it is unsupported by the necessary evidence but it is still something to take note of.
One thing which I am yet to do is examine how IRGS is tackled in the Tintina region, which has been offered by SOC management as the inspiration for examining the Mt Adrah prospect.
My understanding of the IRGS model is it should throw up enough concentrated deposits, which have been created by hydrothermal activity, in reasonable proximity to bulk low grade to make the thing worthwhile. The picture I have in my mind is numerous pipes which are close together and concentrated deposits sitting in the area where the hydrothermal pressures have dropped off.
I believe it is the case that it is commercial if there is a sufficient number of concentrations which demonstrate good grades.
Apart from the recent exploration by SOC the fact the area was successfully mined by hand, in numerous locations, gives me pause to think that Mt Adrah will meet the requirements. My thinking is the artisan mining can only be shallow. The reefs they were mining at the surface should, if they conform to the IRGS model, be very deep.
Regards Hobbs SE. If it also is a pipe then it also should have generated several high grade zones. Hobbs SE is much more beneath the surface than is Hobbs 1 so the possibility is those [potential] high grade zones top out some distance from the surface. My thinking is if they confirm Hobbs SE as a pipe it probably extends the size of the system by another 500 metres in that direction.
