Just watching SkyNews and saw the outcome of the World Cup Qualifier - 2 all.

Now I'm a big sports fan, very keen, but it's easy to see why soccer [or "football" as its fans arrogantly call it] will always struggle to be a real football code here.

Here we have the Wallabies lining up to take on the might of the best of the best - the British and Irish Lions, All Blacks and Springboks with hope of winning or keeping them honest.

In League, the Storm took the World Club Challenge and the Kangaroos are probably the best.

In soccer, the Socceroos struggle against Outer Mongolia - sorry, Oman - and end up with a "thrilling" 2 all draw.

Also, "International Friendlies"? Please. Imagine the Wallabies and All Blacks having a friendly. Yeah, right. All internationals should be Tests. They should have Aussie based players, not players on a fly in-fly out basis.

See my point here? No draw is thrilling. Ever. In football it's a disappointment not to win - except in soccer. They'd draw more support if they made a few changes. fans like to see scoring. Maybe scrap the off side rule and make the goal net bigger. Maybe then those of us who aren't soccer fans could tune into an international match and not have to rely on being told by the commentators when we're at an exciting bit.
