your thought does have merit however the problem is attackers can just sit in the forward line and have defenders kick long to them the current system stops that from happening i dont see how more scoring will change the spectacle wednesday nights game was as good as you can get, an d th ere was only 1 goal scored look at 1 day cricket, they bought in that game for quick runs and entertainment an d it is a sboring as bat poo test match cricket is far more exciting regardless of the rules in soccer they will still get things wrong so why change it afl tinker every year and the game is getting worse not better
