Diving and Simulating is pretty prevalent in soccer these days but when so much can hinge on a refereeing decision - you can see why. My favourite was watching a game played with the field covered in snow. Not one player stayed down after any tackle in that game.

I noticed this a lot more in NRL this season. You would constantly hear the ref calling out "milking" during a televised game with certain teams playing and players now know to stay down if hit high so that it gets reviewed if the ref doesnt call it. Players also have a hand on the ball in most tackles trying to rake the ball out and get a penalty their way. Some players will do whatever it takes to get an advantage.

Well done to the Socceroos for qualifying. Good to see them put a few goals in the back of the net instead of the 1-0 or extra time/penalties I was expecting.
