IMO, social media should have to conform to the same standards as TV and newspaper media because it is a form of publication.
I have issues , however, in social media platforms flogging its customers personal data without consent but of course this is what they have built their businesses on.
The yanks spew about IP theft but they dont object to personal data theft which argueable affects a lot more people. US owned 4G and this gave US corporations and the US government free access to our personal data and, IMO, that's why the US and others dont want to transfer that privelige to China with China's 5G.
