You're right in that if purchase orders from the retailers decrease, then the RSV will decrease. But you would think that the retailers will be initially conservative in their initial purchase orders, and to date, YOW has hardly marketed their product, so once they start doing this and interest in the product expands, the RSV will continue to rise (you would assume). It's worthy to note, that if you annualise the current units shipped, we're still below 10m units per annum.
I think that the RSV metric isn't just a made up metric that is unique to YOW, but probably an industry wide metric used, particularly in the US. You are correct in that the AGM also depicted net sales. Ultimately, if you want a true reflection of how the business is performing, their quarterly cashflow statements are easily accessible, and don't tell lies.
