it seems to me that history is littered with some things that go hand in hand

religions, 'ways of life (no god)' etc - and conservatism --------- glued together in unstickable fashion until enlightenment via education

throw in the odd revolution.

One can see it in many many societies --------- from Buddist Vietnam - where people are lovely, but, oh boy are they conservative. To places in South America where they are deeply christian - and although they flash boobs and bums - are very very conservative.

France - had a hugely religious history - and to me was an exception - because of just how strong the church was - but, gave it the flick and made strong laws to not allow it back in the door. (today, there are moves by religious groups toward politcial power again - coincidently as right wing pressure rises ------------ well, IMO - no coincidence there - here comes ultra conservatism)

One sees it in Australia ----- many many cases - Joh in Qld, Abbott and Morrison - amazingly John Howard wasn't a raving christian - but, he sure enabled future ones.

The America - whilst America is a real oddity with being the most religious of all developed nations - the most of all are ---------- one guesses it - the ultra right - and right - the conservatives, the GOPPERS ----------------- interestingly - not Trump, a real oddity - but, he supports them - and, they need a god, even if it's a plastic one who lies, defrauds and is vicious.

Muslims - and the extremist ones - well, you can't get more conservative than that mob - or at least mad right wing.

Israelis ------------ whoosh - need more right wing than there? - and of course, they're Jewish

so, all of them ---------- traditional, conservative, resistant to change 'mostly' and 'mostly' right wing ------------ a few slight differences there - some buddists and france at times.
