The aboriginals and old and new prospectors in western Australia use the Maroon Bush or Cancer bush. IT is a small prickerly plant that grows about 2 to 3 foot high and has small leaves on it. Break off a few branches with leaves and stem attached. Chop it up roughly or just throw it into a boiling stainless steel pot for 3 to five minutes and then let it sit and cool over night with the maroon bush in it. In the morning drink a half cup a day. ( it is bitter in taste and gets a smokey taste to it over time if brewed and preserved in a jar or bottle. It will not go off. If mould grows on the top of it ( take the top mould off and still drink it)
It was also in the old medicine manuals of western Australia up to about the 1945 era.
