    Agreed. The process for extracting sodium metal isn't even as cheap as you might think anyway. Because it cannot be gathered through straight electrolysis of salt water (Hydrogen is more reactive) so you have to still make a concentrate, heat it to molten state and then extract which is still high energy input. The factor of potentially needing three times as much quantity for the same output I'm not sure it would be cheaper in the end.
