Exactly, just like in plenty of the highly publicised cases of "EV fires" the actual ignition source is well clear of the battery. It doesn't mean the dam fire is easy to put out if the heat actually reaches and subsequently involves the battery pack but in many cases of "EV fires" it is premature to blame the battery for the problem.
