I bought my wife a model 3 Tesla last year.
In a year of driving the following has happened.

We have saved just shy of $3000 DOLLARS on fuel costs.The tesla app provides this information.
We have had no servicing cost
We have travelled 16000 kms, mainly short distance as the wife uses if for work.
We have travelled long distances and had to charge on route. Never had to queue at a charging point.
The car navigation system tells you where the super charger stations are, preconditions the battery for charging.
Charging from 20% to 100% costs on average $30 to $35 and takes a half hour
Our longest return trip was Wellington to Coromandel which cost $120 return, stopping 4 times for charging
The next week I travelled from Wellington to Thames which is a shorter distance in my mates Holden and it cost $530 return, stopping twice for fuel stops
The handling of the Tesla is next level as is the instant power. Passing is easier and safer than ICE vehicles. You have to try it to understand what Im saying.
Once the price of EVs reach parity with ICE game over for OEMs if they dont adapt.
