Travelling back from Europe today, so decided to stop-over for the night in Hong Kong to try a bit of research.

I've just walked around the city and found 9 x SKII counters - all around Kowloon. I had fairly long discussions with all stores trying to ascertain (1 - had the sold the previous Stempower wand) and (2 - were there any signs of a wand for RNA).

Unfortunately all stores said no wand for the RNA and not sure if one coming. All had sold the previous stempower wand, however with the language barrier its hard to gauge how strongly they felt about it. so no sign of the next 100,000 yet in Hong Kong.

2 stores had stock of the previous stempower eye cream and magnetic wand, but it took lots of explaining from me and showing photos of the wand to get through the language barrier and then they eventually found them in back cupboards. other 7 knew what it was (after seeing photo) and advised sold out quickly. All 9 stores said they were only provided with a small sample of the wands in box sets with the stempower eye cream. Because the stock was low none of them had displayed the stock, so most salespeople had no idea, usually referred to the manager when I start asking questions.

Of the 2 x stores who had stock, I purchased one, so you can all thank me for the pending royalties !

Olay was even harder and I got nowhere, unlike SKII it's not sold at specialty counters. Olay seems like a 'chemist only brand' here from what I can tell, whereas SKII have there dedicated counters in shopping centers. So with Olay I was trying to have a discussion with someone in a supermarket / chemist environment. At least with SKII they only sell their product.

Sorry all, no new gossip from the front line... looking forward to the day when the big posters at the front of the stores include a wand !

At least I've not a nice gift to take home to my wife for now.
