Cashnet, you may want to use a computer program to work it all out for you. I started with a notebook....graduated to a spreadsheet, and found neither satisfactory, especially as I trade several stocks almost daily.
Topshare portfolio manager is cheap and good, and spits out a summary of capital gains, losses, holdings etc at the click of a mouse at tax time.
