The Chinese closed several plants in 2012 thinking it would be a inner rubber to bounce REE prices back up, guess what?
Prices have dropped ever since.
Don't be fooled by the marketing dribble being dangled by all and sundry, ie: Chinese, Sojitz, Lynas or even the lost sheep on here.
Fact is Lyans capex can't cope with the current prices, with high capex, low demand, low to no margin = disaster.
Next they will laying off staff.
Then again they could lease out half the plant, the phase 2 that wont be touched this decade.
