Thanks for deriding me. It made me come back for a little while.

I have a had a quick read of the review. It is quite comprehensive.

The real issue with it is that many of the "effects" they claim can be traced back to indvidual constituents of CGNC. For example, the cholesterol lowering effect (or normalisation as these guys like to call it) is a common effect of plant phytosterols. Not a new finding. Go out and by yourself a tub of Logical - lots of plant phytosterols. You know that powerful antioxidant capability SLA has claimed Bio A has? Yep, Bio A contains Vitamin E, a very popular anti-oxidant. In general, I would conclude that Bio A is a multi-vitamin.

It is interesting to note that CGNC toothpastes have already been tried. Must not have sold very well. Surprising SLA wants to revisit that one.

The review does contain some clinical trials results, but nothing that is overly convincing (small numbers, stupid endpoints, as that guy wrote in that review) and nothing that cannot be traced back to individual CGNC constituents.

You might also like to note that the constiuents of CGNC were published in 2000. The point being that SLA can't patent it, nor can they prevent anybody else from producing it. I suspect that SLA's refusal to release clinical trial results because of patent concerns is just a smokescreen to hide that CGNC is bascially a multivitamin (that smells like a pine forest).

The other thing that is apprent from the announcement is that they should sack whoever is writing their announcements. It was terrible.

Well, that is my contarion point of view.
