the recent sunspots were very low on Suns latitude.
Outliers happen in all facets of data (science) Generally the the Butterfly chart is a good reference to sunspot cycles.

So the reverse sunspot signal are more prevelant prior to reversal but not exclusive. Sorry I dont have a link for that generalised comment. Just my observations and readings.
In saying that it cannot be far. When consistent sunspots appearing up higher in the SUN's latitude happens then the reversal has begun. just my opinion and readings
