Hi Undernz, as we are all aware there have been delays in our full roll out. I have been trying to establish in my mind if this has resulted in a missed opportunity. There were many calls to get to market before we were swamped by the competition, and many articles describing the potential market. I was pleased that the sales for the first half of 2016 were about 2000 units.

The recent research that puts sales for all of 2016 at 6750 grid tied units, I also find encouraging for our stage of manufacturing in that we havent missed too many potential sales because, to me, the market is just developing. If you factor in the ACT trial of 800 batteries and the Adelaide trial of 500 (Redflow could not participate in either) total independant sales was about 5400 grid tied units.

I have had a back of envelope of how many of our batteries have been manufactured, actual sales are hard to guess from the 4C (payment terms to integrators, etc). There was a single sale of 48 batteries for approx $600,000, a container to South Africa and Middle East but the 4C shows only $540k rolling total received from customers. So there seems to be a lag there?

So, in short, I dont think that the roll out delay has impacted us too much because the market is just getting going and with the increase in manufacturing we are well placed to participate in the forecast of 20, 000 units in 2017.
