I put in one when we built our new house, very disappointed with its performance. The system is supposed to heat the water to the legislated temp when it isn't hot enough from the solar system through an instant gas hot water heater. My system heats the water even when the pipes from the solar side are stinking hot, wasting gas and defeating the purpose of the system.
