@float^ Sounds costly - I have begun to take short naps when it gets really hot, a luxury one can only take in retirement, though I have been known - in the days of yore - to close my office door at lunch time, and lay myself down on the carpet for a 20-minute snooze. I do have ceiling fans in two rooms and modern air-conditioning units at opposing ends of the house - so I do turn those on for short bursts of cold air, and - of course - when hosting guests.
