    @whereu - sorry to read you are having problems - similar here in Western Australia, from my cursory look round - we only have an electricity company, Synergy, and they supply the electricity, but seem to have their management/ownership in Singapore - so not interested in anything else but to make a profit. So far only small contractors for solar installation - I do have solar panels, but they are 10+ years old, the contractor I bought these from and who installed them have since gone out of business.
    Gas is still cheap, unfortunately I don't even have access to gas where I live, just down the road, they have access - really weird. Yes I could buy the bottles, but that requires further installation work and an eyesore on the front of my house . . . so heating in winter is also electric and that's where most of my cost comes from.
    I hope some people from Western Australia (and New Zealand) will answer here.
