For some people the future holds a point of realisation that could be described as shock! Oil is only at $65/barrel, natural gas only $11.40 mmBTU and already householders in the EU and North America are burning corn and wheat to heat their homes because it is half the cost of utilizing heating oil or gas! For farmers, the energy market is a welcome participant because it is cashed up, is not fussy about quality and simply wants quantity! The world will never run out of food but energy markets will over ride the effects of subsidies and force the true cost of food to be born by consumers!
