They're all growing pains. Grid peak demand is down due to rooftop solar and slightly lower demand since the GFC. We pay the electricity networks to manage the poles and wires, they need to get on with it. They make so much money out of it. It has been established that the 40% or so power price rises in recent years were due to poor regulation and network providers 'gold plating' the grid in order to exploit loopholes to make huge profits. They know where the planet is moving, they need to get on with it. Rooftop solar is not going away.
