"Aust not competitive and the jobs will go off shore"
Way back in 2005, Vestas set up a factory in Portland to make turbine blades. It closed in 2007, with the loss of 130 jobs. Blades are now imported.
But I think its gone a lot further than that now. Vestas down 25% in one day, - from a low point and in a long downtrend.
General electric has a big investment in wind turbines. It will be interesting to see what they are saying. As one of the top five biggest cap companies in the world, it would only be a tiny part of their business.
