Through out the world they are having the same problems
Basically it is simple; the supply systems are just not designed to cope with thousands of power generators.
Just think of the demand changes which occur, how can the system cope with thousands of generators being turned off and on?
In the USA the power suppliers have set up weather forecasting departments to try and know beforehand when the sun is going to shine or go behind a cloud.
The method of selling power back to the grid is not practical unless you live in a small community with its own power supply.
Its just another badly thought out scheme dreamed up by bureaucrats rather than practical people
