They must already have power lines in to have been operating so what benefit do they get from the $112 million extra they have spent
Plus the ARENA (The Australian Renewable Energy Agency ) will provide $13.5 million in funding towards the “Australia-first” project
And there are more cost to come
The plant will still only provide 60% of the power requirement
Although I believe that solar and windmills can assist in far flung places the economics must be the first consideration
This operation appears to have been a 100% political move with a lot of taxpayer money to achieve :::: nothing !
