Yes I agree thermal is the more efficient technology for large scale power generation, but PV will still have its applications (eg energy generating building materials, remote communities, vehicles, portable devices etc), and new technologies will greatly enhance efficiency and usage (DYE has another interesting technology and there are other research groups working to improve this).
