When considering energy return on investment solar returns about 1.5 to 1. And oil is abou 10 to one. When things get tight our overlords decide to tax solar or ask for subsidies back the fraud will collapse. Dust and hail are also not friendly. Yes I have seen numbers that say it’s good but at best marginal when compared to what capital can return when deployed elsewhere.
