People have been saying that this stock is going to rise substantially for a long time. You're not the first one to think that, any of us who have held over the last 10-11 months have thought that for a while.
I held for a long time waiting for that to happen and increased my holding by averaging down expecting that it would turn the proverbial corner, which it never did. Instead it just drifted lower, occasionally rallying as people thought they could see a bargain only for it to go back to drifting lower again.
The root cause of what ails SGH is management related and aside from a couple of them nicking off while they could the regime which presided over this debacle is still in place. If they as substantial holders can't offer guidance to the market for the sake of everyone's investment, their own included, then either they can't give guidance because there is none to give and they are at best stumbling in the dark, or else they won't give guidance because so far there is no good numbers to give and if they put that on the table the SP will go to hell in a hand basket.
As always DYOR as this is personal opinion where it concerns my own investment, but I'd be looking for a change of guard at the top (except Millar and Hoghton) as a catalyst for seeing a sustained improvement in the SP. And I blame no one but myself for hanging in SGH as long as I did, but even though I lost a fair bit of money on this damn stock I have slept better since I exited after the ANN on Feb 29 as the erosion of my investment capital stopped and it has been a nicer experience to know that slowly and steadily it has been recouping those losses in stock which doesn't have the management inadequacies I believe SGH to have.
So hang in their all you like and speculate on what the future may hold but people should not be spouting about how much they know or their experience in this industry or that and offering that as some sort of cast iron qualifier for predicting the future of the SP, whether that is rising or crashing.
All you can say is that without guidance from the company this stock has become purely speculative and in it's current form dressing it up as canny investment based on over inflated opinion of a persons own investment or else professional experience is pure BS, however if the excitement of gambling regardless of capital risk is you're thing then your in luck because this is it - no experience required, just put your money down, and see what unfolds. I don't think the company will fold or anything but I do think there is more downside risk than upside, however if it succeeds and cash flow ramps up and you get more support from management then it would seem likely that the SP will get a head of steam and the potential to make good profit will be very real.
GLTAH I hope it works out for you, just be wary of the self professed experts on here as it is your money and not theirs. Cheers
