Sad to say I have totally sold out of GWR today - I have been holding around 50,000 since 2007. I bought in before the GFC when I had a my first full time job and access to credit. In the end I have made a massive loss. Only conciliation is that it will offset my capital gains from selling my investment property this year. I thoroughly enjoyed following all your posts of Hotcopper as well, especially the infamous FAS attempted takeover of GWR . All my future savings will be diverted to paying off the mortgage. Perhaps I will return to share investing in the future once my superannuation is released when I am 67 years old, LOL?
