Fair enough but you dont need mortgage repayments that prevent you from living. Unless you bought a McMansion or something out of your budget.
I said ealier I am saving around $10000 pa. Its not that much more to pay between two incomes.
The point I am making is at this time in the property cycle I believe that ten grand a year saved can be doubled with dropping prices.
30 now. 60+ saved in a year. 20% of the current price.
So a house at $300000 now. Drops 20% to $240000-90000=150000
Mortgage of 150k much less than renting. Own outright in ten years easily. Happy days.
