To begin with: barbers do a good job at cutting women's hair, I regularly go to one and it is cheaper and he does a better job than my female hair stylist! But with this woman, I suspect she had an agenda from the start. She was trying to get an obviously Middle Eastern looking barber to cut her daughter's hair and refused his advice to go to another salon a short walk away. Why would anyone not follow that advice unless they had an agenda?
I remember being upset once, in London, when I walked into a small salon, which seemed to have a lot of Afro style posters on walls and window, but the salon was close, there were no customers waiting and I just wanted my hair cut. The owner refused, saying she specialised in African hair and told me where the next hairdressing salon was. I was a bit miffed, too, as I did not believe her excuse of 'inability' -
I believe that lady was stirring up trouble for reasons of her own, not a good thing to do for a lawyer, if that bit of information is correct, and not a great example for her daughter.
