Sorry for the new thread but I felt the advent of new battery technologies that will likely hit the market in the near future warrants some more discussion.

There are many companies doing serious R&D on ‘solid state’ batteries. There appears to be many paths being considered it seems. At the moment I can’t get a definitive answer about graphite use in these batteries as opposed to alternatives. Keen to hear others thoughts on this considering the possible impacts on the graphite industry in the future.

It seems a likely direction for EV’s (due mainly to range benefits). Energy storage ESS may well take a different route is also a growing market which is good for us but I have some concern about the need for graphite in future EV battery supply.
