There is a way out of this for Lynas.
Sell the plant in Malaysia to the Chinese, sell feedstock to the new chinese owners and with all the proceeds set up a new plant somewhere else more ameniable.
The Chinese have friends in Malaysia who would help them get all the necessary approvals. They could get Fuzia, not sure of the spelling, to help.
