Agreed , IMO Jesus message was simply love,light and forgiveness,and his message in the course of the history transformed just like many other religions,by those whom opposed him/them in the first place ;for their own greed.
Christ teaching are one of the best guide to love and peace .At the end of the day religions(Abrahamic) all have the same root in the history,and it is quite fascinating for instance to track down the Christian cross to the old Persia or Egypt!
What I feel these days about religions though is "evolution"or "Collapse" !?maybe!lol
