Not that I'm necessarily condoning the exploitation of people during times of stress, Bunn. My main point being that very few listing arrive unsolicited through the agents' door. A salesperson has to work hard to sign up a listing and is subjected to fierce competition (internally and externally), employer pressure and the need to make a living, so "some" salespeople (not all) will troll death notices, divorce courts, bankruptcies and befriend anyone that looks like a likely prospect. Scum or not, that is the way of the world in the sales sector, retail and trade, whether they are selling RE or art or a new silk tie. Always has been, always will be - given the nature of the business.
