Ask a Baby Boomer if they had a second job and most would say yes.
They couldn't buy stuff with out saving up for it as there was no credit back then and even borrowing from the bank was tough, a 25% deposit if I recall correctly. and even that wouldn't guarantee you a loan for a home.
Suggest you stop whinging, get a second job and save for a deposit, move to the outskirts of a regional centre or a town or village around it for a cheap home, save up for furniture, save up for a car... that's what the much maligned Boomers did.
