The same flawed arguments:
The new generation should stop whining,
get a place in the middle of nowhere,
Work harder etc.
And trying to say that the Boomers had it tough....
Absolutely not True in comparison to the Prices Today.
As stated it was around 2.5 times average Wage for the Average House,
Compared to 12.5-15 times Average wage now.
So there is no amount of 2nd Jobs etc that are going to be enough
to allow someone to make 10 times Average wage....
So to make out it was hard for them then,
Multiply that by 5-10 times and thats how tough it is now.
Instead of those 2 jobs you somehow would have needed 10 or more jobs,
And work more hours than what exist per Day.
Boomers saying they laugh at the new generation,
When they are laughing all the way to the Bank,
Is part of the problem.
Most do not want House Prices to go down.
It was policies that grossly inflated House Prices Here,
Yet some have extreme arrogance and just want their House price to go up forever,
And really do laugh about future generations trying to Buy.
Why shouldn't they also be given the opportunity to purchase at a reasonable price of around that 2.5 average wage mark?
Is it just greed that makes some be so rude toward the newer generations?
The same generations that will be soon looking after the generation that screwed them over,
In Nursing homes?
That is what is happening Today,
It is Impossible for many of the newer generation to Buy a House.
The way it's going Australians will not be able to Buy a House.
That was an Average House,
Not a House in the Middle of Nowhere.
The Answer is to bring the cost of Housing Down.
Best Achieved by:
Ending Negative Gearing,
Banning Foreign Investment,
Making More Land Available,
Only Approving Affordable Developments, Etc.
