Caveat Emptor, BB, there are crooks everywhere - I just paid the dentist $400 to have my teeth cleaned eek.png. Ok, so not the best of analogies, but it has never been easier in the history of mankind to do your own due diligence - via the internet, whether it be real estate or stocks. Much easier with RE and given its normally the most one will invest in a single play, then only a fool would not employ/deploy an in-depth google search and other investigations.

As I've pointed out numerous times on this thread/forum: whether buying or selling, ignore everything the agent tells you and do your own DD. IMO the agent is only there to facilitate the inspection and relaying offers back and forth. In reality all power is in the hands of the vendor and purchaser when it comes to "yes and no."

Would that they could teach RE and other investment dynamics from the junior level of high school through to HSC. Knowledge is power and never so important when it involves your own money.
