A lot of traders must have copped losses by buying and holding our producers overnight when the Trump victory started to look like reality. Many finished up 7-10% after being down earlier in the day and now likely to give all those gains up after gold price has been whipsawed all over the place.
Every article under the sun calling for gold to go much higher on a Trump victory. I think that makes sense over time considering his policies would be more inflationary with his spending but too much hot money jumping in short term creates opportunity for the big fish to take advantage and burn the smaller fish.
