I’ve a discussion with a friend who once worked for Macquarie. It appears their strategy is gearing up AGL to pay high dividend, then spin off the dirty power generation assets to transfer all the liability and debts to the public.
AGL green entity emerging as a clean corporation and free of debts. Then let dirty power generation utility swim or sink to write off debts. Taxpayers may have no choice but to bale them out. Such an evil plan it is.. Gluck
