hey baron short selling was around when xjo was 6800 . certainly didnt slow it down . if you want to short sell get a CMC acc . i can still short anything fwiw . short selling is a tool of traders , traders give the market liquidity . the current market has nothing to do with short sellers . please note when short selling was banned the market had its fastest period of contraction . easing of short selling ban has actually supported markets . believe it or not for quite a few months last year the only buyers of significance were shorters covering positions . i for one support the availability of short selling
