Interesting question about an announcement.
If they can, management would love good news at least one week before the SPP offer closes to allow everyone to find their papers and cheque book!
If not, they would have to have Pattersons and some Sophisticated Investors assured that great news is close at hand or maybe extend the SPP acceptance date. If the date is extended, then we would know that they still don't have positive news at that point (not to say that it wouldn't occur later).
