There would seem to be plenty of upside in BPT either as a seller of feedstock to an LNG major or as takeover target for LNG major.
Given LNG is a long term, long view business, you could see some of the LNG majors seeing BPT as a good bolt on at 3 to 4 to 5 $Bn. Or even for Japanese or Chinese or Korean companies whose main concern is security of supply.
Having done the calculations, I am pleasantly surprised on the upside for BPT Shale Gas. Albeit the calculations are very ropy and based on oil parity.
And you are not going to have all the hassles with farmers and greenies you are going to encounter with CSG or Otway liquids rich shale.
