auszeph...appreciated your post about pikington. I have a few questions for folk out there.
I understand your tack with the pilkington deal but as I understand it both companies will share the i.p........the invention so to speak.
I would presume, but could be wrong that any company wanting to produce items from the fruits of this joint venture would pay a license fee and, or purchase the raw materials from these two respective companies. A very common practice throughout industry.
Is that not better and even more lucrative than going through the longer term processes of production lines factories and machinery and all the costs and long term borrowing involved in that especially when your are not atuned to it and would need even more managers that specialise in it.
Dyesol would receive their square meter price from ALL the companies manufacturing the product not just pilkington ( if they intend to ). In this case...and as much as I yearn for the tata project to bear its fat fruits this will surely work out many times more finacially beneficial.
Have I got the wrong end of the stick here?

Another thing that confuses me regarding the fear that some have mentioned about the length of time for the Pilkington project to bear fruits... The Tata project WAS a long haul. I am guessing that was due to the dyesol product being adapted to.... and overcoming problems with steel.

Dyesol ARE glass aren't they? Surely they have a head start with the Pilkington project much more so than the Tata one.
They have the knowhow already with glass........they already use pilkingtons glass for their products and samples.........they will have long term study results already for glass based products.........timo are producing glass based products...... Surely all of this makes so much difference to the time span to development. Couple this with the fact that based on what has been posted there is no plan to build machinery and factories to produce this stuff...again surely a much quicker project..... and they now have development experience with Tata, By my limited knowledge it seems that the only issue is the large scale production rather than any serious experimental issues as with the steel project. If dyesol do not know already how to put their product into glass......exactly what do they know ?
All posts answering my queries all greatfully recieved.

One thing I feel I should add.
I have emailed dyesol on a couple of occasions. I have had replies......not fully answering my questions and much much later than wanted.
I emailed Richard regarding my growing impatience about the lack of current information regarding the progress of the important projects the company is involved in and the growing annoyance of many regarding the PR bearing in mind Dyesol is mentioned as the leader in so many articles.

This was well before Christmas and prompted by my frustration at nenes price rocketing based on seemingly no more than good pr.
I greatfully recieved a reply from Richard on the 28 Jan.............. it read.

We agree with many of your observations. unfortunately, the confidentiality provisions around our major projects seriously limit our ability to keep our shareholders fully informed. I expect as the projects e.g. Tata , near commercialisation this will be less of an issue.

2011 will be a great year for Dyesol

    Regards

    Richard.

Now I presume Richard wrote this this rather than an assistant. Anyhow I am greatfull for the reply.

I take on board what he says and am encouraged by it more than put off.
It is a personal mail obviously but sent through Dyesol so feel it is legitimate to post it due to its relevance.

I have always regarded this as a speculative stock and still do not kid myself otherwise. Very optimistic with it though ( would not hold it otherwise) as the months proceed.

A couple of years ago somebody posted that a stock like this is like driving toward a mountain. It is always there in veiw but never seems to get any closer.
Well I think that now the foothills approach.
