i was quite bemused by prof graetzel dipping in some glass to a beaker of dye and getting a charge from it immediately (cnn video). i think there is always a length of time involved in taking any product to market, solar steel was an entirely new concept taken from dsc glass that needed to be proven, so i can see what joysav is saying in that the pilkington relationship could be much speedier because it is fundamentally what dyesol had been developing on since the beginning.
