Al Gore is a good example of making a financial gain by opportunistic use of "global warming" where his early predictions have not come to fruition.
Climate change is real, no doubt about that. The reasons and the effects are still debatable and the solution is to actually deal with events as they occur. eg. Current drought means better water storage and use. Current fires mean stop living in the gum trees, stop the lock up of parks and forests and better manage the fuel load build up. Think of all that valuable CO2 required to regenerate the burnt out forests. Think of the advantage some countries will have growing summer crops in winter.
