    Grandpa what's a tipping point? My teacher said we have passed a tipping point.

    Son a tipping point is what happened before you were born and since then the world has changed forever.

    It happened because we didn't think the world was in danger and countries didn't take greenhouse emissions seriously so they kept rising, but when the carbon dioxide level reached 450 parts in a million, the ice found in the arctic and Antarctic began to melt faster and faster.

    The seas are rising faster every year and storms produce more rain.
    That is how your parents died. They were trapped in their car and washed into a raging river.

    Floods and fires kill more and more people and animals each year but the rising seas kill many more around the world.
