Peter Andrews was considered an outcast by the scientific ex-spurts for may years because of his radical method of water conservation and pasture management to the point where he was bankrupted. If it hadn't been for Gerry Harvey his methods would have been lost, proven now because droughts showed its value. That's one example. I have plenty of other examples of pseudo scientists proving the experts wrong. I could give you a example where I did that myself. To get that you will have to buy my book which should be out next year.
The problem with growing cedar is that it takes a hundred years to reach maturity and with global warming the moth will move south in that time. The timber from a young cedar tree is too soft to be of much use. I know that from experience. (experience is superior to ex-spurt theorising)
